What is Hosting?
Hosting is the service that provides the space for your web site as well as the space for your emails. We point your domain name to a computer address that is the location of your hosting provider. Your domain might be a “.com.au” managed out of Australia, but your hosting provider could be based in the UK, USA or India.

TIP: When looking to establish a new web site, it is often cheaper to register the domain name and sign up for hosting at the same time. Many hosting companies will bundle the two costs together and provide a discount, and sometimes even free Domain Name registration.
